ANY BELLS FOR ANYONE?There are conflicting documents as to the parentage of John J Kelley; his death certificate, evidenced by his son, shows his parents as Matthew Kelley and Mary Fane of Ireland [Roscommon]. Church documents of John J.'s marriage to Bridget Powers show him as the son of Thomas. Remains to be seen whether the baptism info cited below or the death certificate provide the clincher. Anyone with any info at all on several or a few of these members, please contact me tim John J Kelley, my ggrandfather was born October 1852; below is a list of possible parents to John, son of Thomas, born in Roscommon: Baptism records for John Kelley 1852 - 1857 date of baptismparentsR.C. My great-grandparents were John J. Kelley and Bridget Powers. John was born in Roscommon in October, 1852; Bridget was born in Cambridge, her parents also immigrants from Ireland. John immigrated from Roscommon, Ireland to the US in 1870-1872 where he met Bridget in Cambridge, MA. On October 30, 1874, they were married in St. Peters in Cambridge, MA. Bridget passed away somewhere between 1910 and 1920 leaving John a widower with 5 at home. Charles left when he married Mary Colligan November 28, 1916. The rest continued to live with their father up until 1917. In 1917, John J.and the remaining children [Richard, Catherine, Gertrude, and Emma] disappear from Cambridge, MA. Their trail has not yet picked up again
