Kelle Family Home page

I am researching the Kelle family. Originally from Germany (born July 19,1839 inEldorgesen,Germany) August (J)E Kelle was my Great-Grandfather,he immigrated to New York
on March 30,1881.He lived in Boston,Ma. and married Catherine Damm October 13,1889 (my
Great-Grandmother) she was his second wife. His brother Louis H. Kelle ( born March 25,1842 in
Hanover,Germany)arrived in Boston on August 29,1864 enlisted (having been recruited in
Gemany) in the Union Army (Co. E of the 30th regiment)He served until mustered out on in
Charleston,South Carolina on July 5,1866 He married Ellen[aka Helen,Helena and Lena] A.
Brehm (daughter of Anton and Caroline)born on March 14,1847 in Baden.She died in Boston on
June 14,1881 of a miscarriage.Louis H. Kelle died in Boston on June 5,1900 of apoplexy.

I have pretty good records of August Kelle lines to me,but not much on Louis Kelle's side of the
family. Also interested in tracing the family back into Germany.Would appreciate any help or
suggestions as I am new to Geneology. Thanks,
