I am trying to research my family back to Ireland, the Cherokee Indians of N.C., President/General Andrew Jackson, and any where else it may lead me. Any help I can get will be deeply appreciated. And would be glad to share any information. I know that my Great-Grandfather William Henry Patterson married a Cherokee Indian Chief's daughter (Leanah South). But I am not sure of her father's name. Their son ( my grandfather ) married Nannie Bowden. She was one of eleven children of Manson Bowden and his wife Laura Rosenbaum. My father Almar J. Patterson married Hazel Burner and I am the oldest of 13 children. My mother's grandfathers were George Washington Burner and Andrew Jackson ( a decendent of Gen. Jackson ). I married Charles Stephen Kemker. We had 6 children. And our list of grandchildren is growing with great-grandchildren. If anyone has infomation to help me I would love to hear from them. We have a family reunion every July.
