The Kemp Family Home Page

I am researching the Ancestors of WILLIAM KEMP and GRACE HORTOP who left the Devonshire area of England about 1860 along with their daughter Harriet and moved to Ontario, Canada.
William's parents were William and Ann Kemp, no further information. Grace's parents were Roger Hortop and Miriam Rice. Grace had siblings but there is no further information.

Also looking for Ancestors of JAMES ROWE who also came to Canada from the Devonshire area appoximately 1849 at the age of about 16. No information about his family or siblings in England other than that his mother had died.

My family also has ties with RANKINs of Glasgow, Scotland. Jane Rankin, daughter of Robert Rankin and Mary Donaldson.
Also connections with BOYES of Scotland. John Sherin Boyes (1839-1924) son of Arthur Boyes (b 1784) and Margaret Anderson (1803-1894).

I would appreciate any additional information and would be more than willing to share mine.
