The Family of Robert Allen Kemery

Updated September 5, 2000

I am just beginning my search, but I have been blessed by many of my anscestors who have created their own family trees. For the moment I am compiling them and making one large tree. So far this has created a shell of about 700 names and only about 2 in 5 has any date information of any kind. I will have to begin interviewing the survivng members of my family for more details. The following names are currently being researched and I will give a brief account of how it has progressed. Szaniszlo. I am back to Andrew, father of Joseph. This is in Hungary and around 1850-1860. Joseph is the immigrant of the family having arrived circa 1900 in New York and moving to Cleveland soon after. I have extensive histories after this point. Fuerst... From Germany. I am back to George..father of John, Husband of Barbara...born(George) circa 1700 in Bavaria Germany. I have a father to son lineage with no other children listed all the way to Ignatius Fuerst born 1837 who was the immigrant and moved to Cleveland where he married. I have extensive histories therafter, but some minor areas need to be filled in. Boehnlein...also from Germany. I have extensive records from Christian (d. 1912) who is the immigrant. I am trying to tie him to another Boehnlein family group who have traced their family into the 1700s in germany. We know nothing of Christians siblings or parents. I am confident the connection lies here or one generation earlier. Kemery....I am awaiting a family tree from my uncle who has been a closet geneaologist for many years. He apparantly has traced the family for many generations, and I know him to be a critical, methodical man. I may not be able to publish these findings on the web as it is his work and not mine....but I will send copies to all inquiries if they can match a name or two. I will tell more as soon as I know more. I am researching many other subnames. there are too many to list, but i will submit a report soon.thank you for reading my home page, any info or questions would be greatly appreciated.PS an update on the Boehnlein or Bohnlein tree. I have a Boehnlein friend of my grandfather who has tried to prove his lineage ties in with the Boehnleins in my family. He has written many letters and compiled many trees...some dating back to the 1600's...All 5 of them have 0ne thing in common....Bavaria is the homeland....unfortunately we cant as of yet connect the trees, but I am working on many of the names on all 5 trees list only one child ussually a male one...we all know that a single child is unlikely in many of the families......It may only take 1 name to link all 5 trees. I do think though that the link happens in Bavaria and not in the US since we have many meticulous records of the family name once it reached the states. Perhaps Christian Boehnlein is the key....he probably had more siblings as it seems to be a family tradition to have large families...I dont know how many Boehnlein families I've entered with 8 or more kids!!!, But my hands hurt from all the typing.....All of the Boehnlein (Bohnlein in Germany) family trees have been submitted in hopes of someone having info...I have lots of work to do, almost every name needs some info added and I hope to cross reference every name with the world family could take a long time...but hey..I'm only 27 and I've got lots of free time.
