|I am interested in the following names from the following places:
From Germany and SETTLED USA later than 1870: KARL KÖNIG, LUISE HABERMEYER, and about 1914 HERRMAN LEWIS from Oberstein and family - son, Harold Herrman born 1905 Lower Hutt, New Zealand, and wife Margaret Mary Cecilia nee KENNY
CANADA: John Charles ROBERTS born New Zealand died MANITOBA 1924
at Homebush - where is that? There were at least 3 sons and 1 daughter. John Charles was known to us as Charles/Charlie and married at least twice.
I am keen to make contact with the Canadian ROBERTS Descendants
and any of Karl KÖNIG, Luise HABERMEYER an extraordinary artist who trained in Berlin at a time when women did not 'Study Art'.
Besides, Luise took off last century with family art works (she knew her stuff) - we do not want the art back but a photo would be nice!
As for my lost LEWIS-KENNY links last heard of in the San Francisco area 1918 - The Baliff has stopped looking for you - He has by now died I am sure. It is quite safe to call home and let us know how and where you are now!
NORTH WALES: PRICE and ROBERTS immigrated to New Zealand circa 1856. And I know exactly where from.
NEW ZEALAND: KENNY, BRIGHTING, WALL, WEEBER
The KENNY's came from NEW CASTLE WEST in LIMERICK IRELAND
ENGLAND: BRIGHTING, WEEBER - reputed to have originally arrived in England during the reign of Queen Victoria
GERMANY mostly from Southern Germany in Bavaria and Frankish areas : REINHOLD, KÖNIG, PFEUFFER, HECKEL, ENGLEHARDT, GROSSHÄUSER, SCHWANFELDER, KOEMETER, KEIL, BURKHOLZ, MEYER, REIMSCHÜSSEL, RAB, HÖFER, BAUER, FRÜCHTL, FAULHABER, FIEDLER, FÖRST, FORSTER, KREUTZER, BRÜGEL, KNEISS, HEINZ and.....SCHMIDT
