This research covers the Farnes family from Sussex and the Kenny family from Lancashire.

Most of the Kenny family in the late 19th century were immigrants from Ireland. The Irish Famine of 1846-50 took many lives from hunger and disease and also led to waves of immigration to the jobs in the mines and cotton mills of Lancashire.

The Farnes appear to have been based in southern England for quite some time.

Any further information would be appreciated. We are also willing to share the information that we have.
