Several years ago my sister Carol, started collecting the data for this family history. It is a good thing that she did because much of the information on the Kennedys would have been lost had she not taken the time to collect it. Her work and the work that my Aunt Dorothy did on the Hoelsken family inspired me to continue the research. As a result, I have been collecting information for several years now and every year I say to myself, "Put it in a book." However, for me (unlike my son, David) writing is extremely painful, so the book was never done. But, as our family enters the year 2000, regardless of how poor my writing skills are, I figured that I better put some of this data in writing before I loose it. So, as you read through this web page take it for what it is, information, and keep in mind that this is a work in progress. There is and always will be more information to collect and mysteries to solve. I have binders and files full of notes and descendant trees of related familie. Some of it I found on other web pages or received it from friends I found using the Internet. I will be glad to share it with whoever might have a desire to continue the search and/or rewrite this information.
