I am researching the family of Johann Ludwig Wahl aka John L. Wahl, who immigrated with his wife Sophia from Prussia about 1861. After the Great Chicago Fire, they ended up in Morgan and Scott Counties in Illinois. Other surnames include: German, Farrell & Walsh from Ireland, Homerding, Peterson & Paulson from Sweden.

I am also researching my husband's family lines: Kendall, Hensel from Germany, Allen, Hazzard. Samuel Kendall was born in Haggarstown, MD, and migrated to Illinois and settled in Ogle County. Other surnames include: Allen, Hazzard.

I am willing to share information with other's researching these lines. Please email me with any additions or corrections as this is a work in progress.
