Notes for John F. Farrell: Per conversation with Tom Farrell, John F. Farrell & Catherine Walsh were both born in Ireland. Tom believes they came up the Mississippi from New Orleans. Tom is also a 4th generation descendent.
11/15/1999: Catherine Ryan Link called. Has had a chance to look over information I sent her. She recalls the photo I have and it is the Farrell Family taken in Murrayville, IL in front of her grandparents home when she was a child. The two priests were Father Oalinn of Winchester and Father McGinnis possibly from Murrayville. Believed originally that grandparents came from County Cork, but some else said it was Gallway, Ireland. John was 18 and Catherine was 16 and possibly married in New York and came to IL to a little log cabin that John had. Caherine was disappointed in the "house" . Believes "Will" William was the oldest and died of TB when he was 21. Recalls visiting aunts in Long Island with her parents when she was a child.
