August Hensel Funeral Rites Set Wednesday
Funeral services for August F. Hensel, 61, of 1824 S. Pasfield St., who died at 4:55 PM yesterday at St. John's Hospital, will be held at 9:30 AM Wednesday at the Blessed Sacrament Church. Monsignor M. A. Tarrent will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Mr. Hensel, for many years proprietor of the Hensel Shoe Rebuilders Store, 310 E. Adams St., was born April 8, 1887, in Germany. He was married to Anna Henrich in Germany in 1910 and they came to this country after their marriage. Mr. Hensel had been a resident of Springfield since that time.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Henry J. and Walter J.; one daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Kendall, all of city; five brothers, Paul and Henry, both of Milwaukee, WI; William, Chicago; Gustave and Emil, both of city; one sister, Mrs. Amelia Buchhofer, Germany, and one grandson.
Remains may be view at the Kirlin & Egan funeral home until 10PM today and tomorrow.
