Notes for Abigail Hazzard: Obituary found in THE FORRESTON JOURNAL, Forreston, IL, January 15, 1931.
Mrs. Abby Kendall passed away at her home Wednesday afternoon, January 7, after a four day illness. Mrs. Abbie Kendall Daughter of Mr. & Mrs. James Hazzard, was born in Manchester, NY on November 6, 1839. When six years of age she came to Leaf River Twp to reside where she married Samuel Kendall, and to this union were born seven children, two daughters having preceeded her in death. Her husband passed away about 29 years ago. Those who are left are Miss Jennie at home, Mrs. Lulu Garman of Adeline, George, Truman of Leaf River, and Frank of Milwaukee; also a number of other relatives. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Christian Church at 1:30. Rev. R. W. Pittman officiating and burial was at West Grove Cemetery.
1880 census verifies Abby was 41.
