PASSING, SATURDAY NOON OF BELOVED LEAF RIVER WOMAN
The death of Miss Jennie Kendall, estimable Leaf River resident, occurred at her home in that village, Saturday noon, December 7 [1940]. Miss Kendall was born near Morrison, January 11, 1865, the daughter of Samuel and Abbie Kendall. Her identity in the Leaf River community during many years, was one of neighborly service and of warm fraternal attachments. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Lulu Garman of Adeline; two brothers, Daniel Kendall, with whom she made her home and Frank Kendall of Troy, Wisconsin. The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, at the Leaf River Methodist Church, Rev. R. V. Strole and Rev. David Gosser, officiating at the obsequies. Burial in the West Grove Cemetery.
