My Gordons came from Rockbridge Co., VA>Indiana>Missouri. My great-great-grandfather was William Gordon. His son, Jacob Nathan Gordon, was my great-grandfather.

My Bennetts came from Ohio>Missouri>Kansas: Amos Strickland Bennett, John Henry Bennett.

My Spears: Thomas Henry Spear; Geary Gibbons Spear.

Mitchells: John Mitchell born Indiana or Kentucky.

Albertsons: New Jersey. Archie Albertson born NJ>PA>IA>MO

Crook, Wills, Robinson and Hodge: Tennessee

Duncan and Strode: Bourbon Co., KY

Branham: Virginia>Missouri

Kennedy and Hamby: KY>Cedar Co., MO

    My paternal great-grandparents. Jacob was born 1845 in Rockbridge Co., VA, the son of William and Elizabeth (Trout) Gordon. Martha was born Nov. 16, 1856 in DeKalb Co., MO, the daughter of John and Mary (Duncan) Branham.

    My maternal grandfather, Daniel Clayton Bennett, was born June 16, 1887 in Atchison Co., MO. He died April 10, 1940 in Wadsworth, KS. He was the son of John Henry and Julia Ann (Petree) Bennett.
  • Ellis Duncan Gordon (20 KB)
    My paternal grandfather, Ellis Duncan Gordon, was born March 14, 1885 in St. Charles Co., MO, the son of Jacob Nathan and Martha Ellen (Branham) Gordon. He died Oct. 14, 1965 in Clinton Co., MO. He married (1) Minnie Ashburn (2) Trella M. Spear (my grandmother).

    My paternal great-grandfather, Geary Gibbons Spear, was born Nov. 11, 1878 in Leavenworth, KS, the son of Thomas and Mary E. (Gibbons) Spear. He served in the Spanish-American War. He married Anna May Crook on Aug. 8, 1899. He died Feb. 21, 1941 in Gilbert, AR.
