| This is a new year, and I think it is time to share the other families that I am researching with the rest of you. JORDANs are by far my largest database, but the HARDY and CARR families are also very important to my research. Of course the HARDY'S and CARR'S are also the proud owners of my brickwalls!!!! HARDY--- Miles Ferdinand Hardy, b abt 1830 in Hinds County Ms, (we think) served in the CSA and after he was paroled he moved his family to Tx. CARR--- Benjamin Franklin and George Washington Carr came to Texas from Ky, in abt 1835. Here is my BRICKWALL!!! Who are his parents? From whince did they come? They were supposed to be the cousins of John Fendal Carr and did settle in the same area in Tx. I just know that someplace out there in Cyberland there is a kind soul that has the answers to my questions, now to just find them! Now I have a NEW Line to chase!!!!!! ROBERDS---- From Marengo County ALABAMA to Polk County TEXAS, what a trip! This file is still in the infant stages, but I am working from research notes of Rosie Roberds Baxter and the kind souls that helped her complie a wonderful notebook of information, all on paper, of course. As soon as I get enough typed in to make it interesting, I will put the GEDCOM online for you to check out. |
