My great grandfather Daniel GRANT was born in 1846 in Sigingstone,Glamorgan,Wales and came to America in 1869. He claimed land south of Concordia, Kansas where he married Frances Inman. Later Daniel married Elizabeth Ann JONES born in 1861 who also was from Wales. Elizabeth was the daugther of Benjamin and Elizabeth (KEENE) JONES. In 1898 Daniel and Elizabeth sold their property and livestock and moved SW of Perkins, Lincoln Co, Oklahoma with their seven children, Daniel, Roy, Charlie, Lulu Bell, Richard, Benjamin and Margaret. They original brought 160 acres in the NE quarter of section 21 township 17 of range 2 east of Indian Meridian. An additional 160 acres was purchased later. After the death of his parents Benjamin was lefted the farm. The land is still in the Grant family today. .. Evan PHILLIP b abt 1793 .. Mary GRANT b abt 1796 ... Charles GRANT b 1924 sp Elsie Mae Gibson b 1927 ***Gone but not forgotten*** I am desperately looking for the parents and siblings of Rachel (RARDIN) HINSHAW DOB Dec 11,1814 Ohio or PA DOD May 09,1898 in Clay Co,Indiana She was the wife of Zimri HINSHAW DOB Nov 02,1821 DOD Sep 01,1854. They are both buried at Center Point Cemetery, Clay Co, IN. Apparently Rachel was married before Zimri as their marriage record dated Dec 01, 1841 from Parke Co, IN shows her name as Rachel CROFFORD (CRAWFORD). I have three other sources that shows her maiden name as RARDIN. Maybe Rachel was a middle name. Do you know Rachel's parents or siblings? Any help is appreciated.
