On my father's side I am researching my grandparents, both reported to be from Roscommon, Ireland. Grandfather, Dennis Kenny born 8/15/1885. Grandmother, Catherine (Mulvey)Kenny.
On my mother's side I am researching my grandparents, both from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Grandfather, Andrew McCormack and grandmother, Marie (McNeil) McCormack.

I was lucky enough to travel to Cape Breton in September of 1998 and further my research at the Beaton Institute. I met relatives for the first time that I continue to keep in touch with by e-mail! A relative reported that the McNeil line had been discussed in the book, From the Hills of Boisdale. In keeping with the true spirit of genealogists sharing, a lady approached me to discuss a surname she also was researching that I had noted in the visitors book. We chatted briefly, wished each other luck and went on with out research. Weeks later I received from her, copied by hand the pages about the McNeils from the book, The Hills of Boisdale.

I continue enjoying my research, the people I meet and keeping in touch with my new relatives!
