Connie Gilbert Kerrigan's Family Home Page
My family includes: Gilbert, Nowlin, Stone, Noble, Wallis, Curry, Barr, and Slack. The majority of the families came from Missouri and Illinois ending up in North Louisiana in Caldwell Parish. They traveled with sawmills. The Noble's were mostly in East Baton Rouge, La. Mark Noble was a Revolutionary Soldier. His grandson William C. Noble was a Confederate Soldier in the Civil War.I'm most interest in finding information about Nowlin's and Stone's.Nathaniel Nowlin, son of James Nowlin and Adelina Williams was born in September 1845 in Missouri. He married Emma Barr.Nathaniel died in 1919 in Caldwell parish.James Tillman Stone was born in 1871 in MO. He was married to Betty Epperson. He died in January 1948 in LA. I've been unable to find his parents or even anything on Betty Epperson. The Gilbert's came from NY and settled in Clay Co. IN. Elisha Gilbert was born in 1807 to Ebenezer and Mehitable Gilbert. They moved to Clay Co. where Elisha married Eleanor Ferrel. Anyone having information on these family, I would appreciate receiving it and will share information I have. | Connie GilbertKerrigan's Family Home Page Updated September 6, 2000 |
