Our Bennett family descends from Moses Bennett who married Anna Blanchard August 11, 1719. Their Son Thomas Bennett married Lydia Adams, daughter of Mephiboseth Adams and Jane Derby. Thomas and Lydia had at least 7 children. Their son Imlah Bennett was our great great great grandfather.

Documentation for this information comes from the book by Frank Bennett of Saugus, Massachusetts. The book, The Bennetts of Saugus, Lynn, and Groton traces the line back to Samuel Bennett who came to America in the ship "James" in 1635, when he was 24 years old. Samuel settled in Lynn, Massachusetts.

Currently the Bennett descendents are planning a family reunion, to be held on August 11, 2001 in Columbia, New Hampshire.
