George Kerr (son of David Kerr and Ann Shaw) was born April 19, 1803 in Ayr, Scotland, and died January 26, 1875 in 31 Kyle Street, Ayr, Scotland. He married Janet Stewart on March 27, 1832 in Riccarton, Ayrshire, daughter of Hugh Stewart and Agnes Boyd.
Notes for George Kerr: Occupation - Blacksmith Died January 26, 1875 at 31 Kyle Street, Ayr. In the Cescuses of 1841 and 51 Kyle Street doesn't exist. It was there in 1861 but the number os High Street are fewer. As Kyle street is an extention of High Street a fair assumption would be they didn't move but only had the street name changed. This doesn't verify the deeded land for the Smithy shop - 1596 to sometime around the 1960's when Douglas Kerr sold it much to the fury of his brothers
