Kessler/Rumbaugh Family HistoriesUpdated March 17, 2007 |
|
| This home page includes information for the surnames Azukas and Kapciunas (Lithuanian immigrants) in Pennsylvania; Congdon, DuBois, Morgan and Newell in New York State; and Rumbaugh, Roach, Williams, Richards, Short and Stump. The latter families homesteaded often, through Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, Nebraska and Kansas. Our information is verified through family records, U.S. Census Reports, and published obituaries. We have pictures of headstones from many cemeteries. We are particularly interested in any information about the families of: 1. Ancestory of Mary Jane Short, born Oct 1850 in Indiana, and married to John W. Roach in Union County, Iowa in 1872. John and Mary homesteaded in Phillips County, KS, in 1875. 2. Breed Newell, who lived in Oneida County, New York, in the 1840s and 50s. We are particularly interested in his ancestors. Our family name, Kessler, is an adopted name. Richard's father, Linas Azukas, was raised by his Aunt Margaret and Uncle George Kessler, and took their name as his legal name around 1941 or 42. We are willing to share our information, and look forward to receiving new data. |
