"The Keuris Family" in Canada

My main searches are still with some of the "lost" Keuris's, but are now mainly concentrated on the "Henneman(n)" families in Germany,my mother's genealogy, in the region which was once called "the Esterau", in the LAHN district.

The "van Dort" families around Den Haag in Holland and the "van Egmond" families from around "Rijnsburg", also in Holland.

I would like to learn more about conscription methods used throughout Germany in the 1700's and some of the "Napoleonic" battles in Germany where relatives were involved.
