3. KARL2 KOEPP (AUGUST FRIEDRICH1) was born February 06, 1866 in Birkholz, District of Dramburg, Pommern, Prussia, Germany, and died March 02, 1940 in Seguin, Guadalupe Co, TX. He married EMILIE (KABITZKE) KAPITZKE October 17, 1891 in Comal County, Texas.

Notes for KARL KOEPP:
The 1900 census for Guadalupe County, Texas shows that Karl/Carl immigrated to the U.S. in 1883. He was a farmer that could read, write and speak English. He is buried at Lone Oak Cemetery in Geronimo, Guadalupe County, Texas next to his wife Emilie Kapitzke Koepp.

Notes for EMILIE (KABITZKE) KAPITZKE:
Buried at Lone Oak Cemetery in Geronimo, Guadalupe County, Texas next to her husband Karl Koepp. I have noticed that her maiden name is very similar to that of Anna (Kapitzke) Kapedsky who is married to Franz KOEPP. I personally believe that they may be sisters even though the census report shows she came to the U.S. a year later. The 1900 census for Guadalupe County shows that she immigrated in 1885, she could read, write, and speak English, and that she had 4 children of which 4 were alive at the time for the census.

Children of KARL KOEPP and EMILIE KAPITZKE are:

  i.   AUGUSTE BERTHA LOUISE3 KOEPP, b. July 03, 1892, Guadalupe County, Texas; d. January 24, 1924, Guadalupe County, Texas.

Notes for AUGUSTE BERTHA LOUISE KOEPP:
Guadalupe County records show that a Augusta Koepp died on 1/24/1924. It is unknown at this time if this is the same person as Auguste but will list the date until proven otherwise.

14. ii.   LOUISE ANNA MARIE KOEPP, b. May 11, 1894, Guadalupe County, Texas; d. March 1976, New Braunfels, Comal Co, TX.

iii.   IDA ELLA EMMA KOEPP, b. September 04, 1896, Guadalupe County, Texas.

iv.   FRIEDA KOEPP, b. September 1898, Guadalupe County, Texas.

  v.   ALMA ANNA EMILIE KOEPP, b. August 31, 1901, Guadalupe County, Texas.

vi.   ELLA META PAULA KOEPP, b. September 16, 1904, Guadalupe County, Texas.

vii.   CARL KOEPP, b. Abt. 1909, Guadalupe County, Texas.
4. HERMAN2 KOEPP (AUGUST FRIEDRICH1) was born November 15, 1869 in Germany, and died December 23, 1934 in San Antonio, Bexar, TX. He married CAROLINE "LINA" WAHL, daughter of JOHANN WAHL and WILHELMINE MAGNUS.

Notes for HERMAN KOEPP:
The 1900 Guadalupe County census shows that Herman was married to Lina born 1873. The 1910 census shows the same only his wife's name is Caroline. I assume that they are one in the same. I am also assuming that Herman is the son of August since I have family photos showing my family attended Caroline's funeral in 1952. I am positive that he is the son of August. He is buried at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery on New Braunfels Ave in San Antonio, Texas next to his wife Caroline and their children Elmo and Linda.

Notes for CAROLINE "LINA" WAHL:
Lina owned the Cafe that was across the street from my mother cafe "Tillie's Cafe". Both of them were and still are located next to the railroad yard off of New Braunfels. Going north on N.B. Ave, if you look down to the left as you cross the bridge right before the Interstate you can still see where Tillie's Cafe was. It is now a Mexican food restaurant.

Buried at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery on New Braunfels Ave in San Antonio, Texas next to her husband Herman Koepp and their children Elmo and Linda.

Children of HERMAN KOEPP and CAROLINE WAHL are:

  i.   LINDA3 KOEPP, b. September 21, 1891; d. August 12, 1977, San Antonio, Bexar, TX; m. OTTO BOYLE HILL.

  Notes for LINDA KOEPP:
Buried at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery on New Braunfels Ave in San Antonio, Texas. Her tombstone reads Linda Hill Fredrick so I assume that she remarried after Otto died but I do no have that information at this time.

5. FRANZ2 KOEPP (AUGUST FRIEDRICH1) was born April 10, 1875 in Birkholz, District of Dramburg, Pommern, Prussia, Germany, and died June 14, 1962 in New Braunfels, Comal Co, TX. He married ANNA (KAPITZKE) KAPEDSKY 1898 in Texas, daughter of WILHELM KAPEDSKY and WILHELMINE KAPEDSKY.

Notes for FRANZ KOEPP:
The 1900 census of Guadalupe County shows that Franz, his wife Anna and their son Otto lived with her parents Wilhelm and Wilhelmina Kapedsky (?) in precinct # 2. He immigrated to the U. S. in 1882, was a farm laborer and he could read, write and speak English. The census also shows that both of Franz's parents were also born in Germany. Franz is buried at Comal Cemetery in New Braunfels, Comal County, Texas next to his wife Anna Kapedsky Koepp.

Notes for ANNA (KAPITZKE) KAPEDSKY:
Buried at Comal Cemetery in New Braunfels, Comal County, Texas next to her husband Franz Koepp. Anna's father was Wilhelm Kapedsky. If the data in Vernon Strey's book on the KOEPP's is correct, then the Wilhelm Kapedsky and his family and Wilhelm and Wilhelmina KOEPP arrived in New York on the same ship (Rhein) on October 16, 1881, which is where Anna and her husband Franz would have met, at the age of 6 for him and 1 for her, for the first time.

Children of FRANZ KOEPP and ANNA KAPEDSKY are:

  i.   OTTO3 KOEPP, b. August 1899, Seguin, Guadalupe Co, TX.

ii.   MARIA MINNE EMMA KOEPP, b. November 17, 1901.
