This Kiefer family is from the Pfaffenweiler (Freiburg) area in Baden (now Germany) BALL: Ball family has been traced back to Edward Ball, b: abt. 1670 in England. This Ball line married into the Claypoole line from England that is descended from the Plantagenet line. His will names his wife as "Libbe") KRIEG: Earliest known ancestor Hans KRIEG, b: 6/25/1790, Bern, Switzerland. Anecdotal stories indicate that this branch of the KRIEG line is from Switzerland through Pennsylvania, to Indiana. There are over 3100 individuals on my web site, many with notes. If anyone is researching the above lines, I will be glad to share additional information! Additionally, all persons in the above lines are invited to contact me.
