My Great-great-Grandfather was William C. Rutledge, born October 17, 1792 in Abbeville District in South Carolina. We are still searching for his parents and siblings. He married Rachel Williams born April 26, 1806 in Jones County, Georgia, Where they were also married on June 15, 1820. We think her father was William Williams and mother was also a Rachel. We don't know very much about them either. William C, Rutledge and Rachel had 14 children, all born in Alabama. In the early 1850's they migrated to Atascosa County, Texas and both died there in the 1860's. We know all their children's names and who they married, but have lost track of some of the grandchildren.I'm also looking for Weissingers, Johnson, Stacy, Schneider, Steinert, Kight. Payton to mention a few.
I would be glad to help anyone who might need information on any of these and would like to hear from any of you researching these names. I'm putting in pictures and if you have some of this family, I would like to hear from you about them.
