My email address is also accessible from that site.

I am looking for information on several surnames: Kilpatrick, Osburn, Henson, Hardin, Deen, Wilson, Cline, Cornett, Wilks, Shackleford, Durham, Hatty, Brown, Riewald, Swier, Zwier, Postma, Jongeward, Immeker, Franzen, VanVeen, DeWeirt and the ever elusive Smith.

The farthest back I can trace the Kilpatrick surname is my g-g-grandfather James Kilpatrick who died in Arkansas in 1896. My g-grandfather, Nathaniel Kilpatrick, born January 21, 1874, came from Mississippi. He married, August 23, 1895 in Washington County, Arkansas, Rachel H. Hardin, born May 22, 1879 in Arkansas. My grandfather moved his family to Washington state in 1945.
There are Kilpatrick relatives in Arkansas, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Oklahoma and Mississippi that I know of so far. Other surnames on this side of the family are Osburn, Henson, Hardin, Cornett and Smith; all traced back to the same area.

My father's mother's maiden name was Willie "May" Deen, born on November 13, 1902 and married in Winslow, Arkansas to William Sheridan Kilpatrick, born February 19, 1900. Willie's parents were Alfried Deen and Elizabeth Virginia Deen. May and William moved to Washington state around 1945. Willie May's ancestors included the following surnames: Wilson, Cline, Wilks, Deen, Shackleford, Durham, Hatty and Brown (although not sure of Brown) of the Missouri, Kentucky, Arkansas, and Illinois areas.

My mother's father's name was Riewald. I have been told that my great-grandfather, John Riewald, came over from the Netherlands as a young man to avoid serving in the Dutch Navy. John was born on November 27, 1868 in the Netherlands. His parents were Richard Riewald and Euke DeVries. Itís believed that John was Freisian Dutch. He married Dora Swier in Iowa. Dora was Holland Dutch. They moved to the Pacific Northwest, eventually settling in Sunnyside, Washington.

My mother's mother's maiden name was Neimeyer. Her father was Gerrit John Niemeyer, born 1878 in Appe, Gelderland, Nederland. He married Margaret Immeker born 1883 in Olderbruek, Gelderland, Nederland. They married at Moxee, Yakima, Washington in 1902 . They had 8 children.

Margaret's mother, Gerritje, was born in Hattem, Netherlands on August 15, 1865. Gerritje had married twice. Her first husband was James Immeker with whom she had 10 children. Her 2nd husband was Hiltje Jans Postma, born in Friesland, Holland on August 30, 1857. They had 2 children, raised in the Yakima Valley in Washington state.

Other surnames for which I am searching for information are Swier, Postma, Jongeward, Immeker, Franzen, VanVeen and DeWeirt.
