| BREWSTER and/or BRUSTERResearching every BREWSTER and BRUSTER surname that I can find in order to trace my own BREWSTER/BRUSTER ancestry. My SAMUEL BRUSTER was born in 1762 and married DORCAS NICKERSON. They began their married life in Beekman, Dutchess County, NY. They can be traced from Beekman to the Town of Franklin where DORCAS's father, SETH NICKERSON, died about 1797. They left Franklin and went to Fayette, Seneca County, NY, and are found there in 1810 and 1820. Samuel and his then-wife, HANNAH, sold Fayette land in 1827, and removed to Sodus, Wayne County, NY, where they can be found in the 1830 Census. Both SAMUEL and his second wife, HANNAH (WILBER) SEYMOUR BRUSTER, died in Sodus; SAMUEL died there in 1833.I'm attempting to determine SAMUEL's ancestry. Any help will be greatly appreciated. If you have a BREWSTER ancestor, please contact me. Perhaps I can be of assistance. My database contains several thousand BREWSTER and BRUSTER surnames and information. I also have Emma C. Brewster Jones' "The Brewster Genealogy", 2 Volumes.Looking forward to hearing from you,Jeannie-ology |
