In 1928, when Earnest Daniel Solomon died, his wife Josie made his headstone. She made it by hand out of cement and Arkansas crytals. Over the years, crystals had been broken off. All the kids got together and bought a replacement marker for him. Every Sunday, Josie would walk down to the cemetery and put flowers on his grave, even though she outlived two more husbands.
