Killeens, Murphys, and Carneys of CT, NY, NF, and Ireland

I was born in Staten Island, NY in 1940. Most of my family had lived there since the 1800's. The Killeens arrived in 1860 with John Killeen, a laborer from Galway, Ireland. On my mother's side, My grandmother (Alice Murphy) immigrated from Newfoundland, with her family, in 1899. In October of 1999, I traveled back to Newfoundland with my mother and uncovered another 100 years Murphy relatives.
