Arthur J McCaffrey was born in Ireland about 1868. He immigrated to America in 1895. He worked in Philadelphia as a Carpenter with his brothers. Arthur J McCaffrey married Clara Unknown about 1902. They had four children: John E McCaffrey Joseph McCaffrey Arthur McCaffrey Edward J McCaffrey Arthur left his family in Philadelphia to find work in New York City. He was killed while working in New York City about 1918. He had fallen down a skyscraper elevator shaft. Clara was left to raise the children alone in Philadelphia. Joseph married Marie Milano in Philadelphia. Arthur married Mary Bernadine Murray in Philadelphia. Edward died at an early age. John suffered from a WWII injury and never married. |
