| I am searching for the names and information on the parents of William Kimble who was born abt. 1760 and married Elizabeth Cole who was born abt 1760. They had seven children: William (b.1783); Abraham (b.1788); Catherine (b. bet. 1790-1800); Jacob (b.2/5/1791); Garrett (b.9/4/1793); David Henry (b. 4/15/1795); Phoebe (b. 7/19/1799). William's father may have come from Devonshire, England. Three of their children married Scotts: Catherine married Mathias Scott (b. abt 1790, d. May 1830) on 10/15/1807; Phoebe married Benjamin Scott (b. 5/14/1795,d. 10/20/1865) on 11/2/1816 in Sussex Co., New Jersey. Dr. David Henry Kimball was born April 5, 1795 in Sussex Co., New Jersey and died July 15, 1874 in Liberty Township, Clinton Co., Iowa. He was married (1817)to Elizabeth Sarah Scott who was born 7/16/1800 in Newton, Sussex Co., New Jersey and died 2/13/1872. They had eleven children: Frances (b.9/26/1818)(m.Madison Page WFT Est.1828-1850); Julia (b.10/14/1821); Nancy (b.1/24/1824);Hannah(b.6/21/1827)(m.William S. Myer 10/20/1842); Matthias (b.4/21/1830); David (b.8/30/1832); Emeline(b.11/19/1834)(m.Shadrach Hammond 12/20/1854); Benjamin (b.2/10/1837);Fannie Elizabeth (b.10/14/1840)(m.Levi Painter 1/20/1859); Garrett Jerome (b.10/2/1842)(m.Viola Ruby (b.1850) 5/1/1866); George (b.12/11/1846). Seven of the children were born in New Jersey and the last four were born in Ohio. Garret Jerome (my great-grandfather) was born (10/2/1842) at Gahanna, Franklin Co., Ohio (near Columbus). He attended school in Jones Co., Iowa. He married Viola Ruby (b.1850) on 5/1/1866. They had eleven children: Jerome Raymond, Infant, Maural, Mable, May, Ward, Marie, Martha, Mathew, Ada, and Silvia. Jerome Raymond is my grandfather. The parents of the Scott children were: James Scott (b.abt 1755,d.111/19/1828) and Hannah Parkhurst (b.abt 1756, d.11/28/1828)m. abt 1787. Other children besides those already mentioned were: Stephen (b. 3/12/1790); Spencer (b. 10/16/1792) and Fanny (b. 1796). I would appreciate any information and I am also willing to share additional family information I have. |
