| We are researching the KIMBREW family from Evansville (Vanderburgh county) Indiana. The family lived in Kentucky before moving to Indiana some time in the late 1800's or early 1900's. We are interested in spelling variations "Kimbreu, Kimbro, and Kimbrough, etc." as well because we have information that there are family branches with different spellings. The Kimbrew family bloodline is multicultural. This Indiana branch of Kimbrews are descendents of the union of Walter Kirkland Kimbrew and Ada Taliefero. We believe that both of them were born in Kentucky. Family was known to live in Madisonville, Kentucky, as well as in Christian, and Hopkins Counties in Kentucky. We have recently discovered links to Kimbrew families in Indianapolis, IN that were not previously known to our generation of family. Information on other Indiana Kimbrew lines would be greatly appreciated. We are told of family that lived in Tennessee several years ago but have no known connection to verify this information. In addition to current research on ancestors of Walter Kimbrew, we are also seeking information on the surnames JOHNSON (a group of Mississippi Kimbrews that changed their names to Johnson), and TALIEFERO (TOLIVER). Any information on Jackson or Lee Taliefero or their ancestors would be tremendously helpful. We are seeking connections to KIMBREW families in Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Texas as well. Any information about families in those states would be helpful. The treads of information are out there, now our task is to learn how and where all of these families connect. Any information will be greatly appreciated. We are willing to share information as well. Thanks in advance. |
