The King and Related Families of Lenoir County, N.C.

This genealogy is the work of myself with help from various people and institutions. I would like to thank Robert West for his insights into the West Family connection. Also, i would like to thank P.K. Wetherington for his assistance in the Wetherington clan. My esteemed Aunt Billie Ruth in Alabama was a terrific help in the Davis aspect of the Alabama connection. And of course the person for me to blame for this Genealogy bug is my cousin Wilber King at King's Restaurant in Kinston. Without him I would not have endured countless hours at night reading old newspaper and census files instead of aggravating my wife and children.

I would also like to commend Martha Maple and her "Old Dobbers" web site. She is a genealogist/historian that inspires my quest for the truth. The Heritage Place at Lenoir Community College in Kinston N.C. has one of the best collections of Lenoir County genealogys.
