He married BERTHA ELDORA FERGUSON January 18, 1928 in Ilion, New York, daughter of DANIEL FERGUSON and CORA CARROLL. She was born May 13, 1906 in Ilion, New York, and died November 13, 1982 in Ilion, New York.

Ilion-- Frederick C. Fay, 83, of Prindle Apts., died January 12, 1986 in (Mohawk Valley General Hospital) MVGH.
He was born March 6, 1903 in Ilion, and was the son of Harrison C. and Sarah Steele Fay. He attended Ilion schools and graduated from Ilion High School in 1922. He also graduated from Bliss Electrical Engineering School in Washington, D.C. in 1926. He had the first licensed radio station in Ilion in 1921. He was married to Bertha E. Ferguson on January 18, 1928. He was past master and past trustee of the Ilion Lodge 591 F&AM and was a foreman for electrical assembly and motor repairs for Sperry Rand Corp. from 1940 to 1955. He was a partner in Chrysler and Fay Electric Motor Repair from 1955 to 1963. He lived in Burlington Flatts and was self employed and lived in Mohawk for 10 years and was self employed and moved to J.G. Prindle Apts. in 1979.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Elizabeth) Hansen, in Austin, Texas; a son Daniel H. Fay of Lowville, N.Y.; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Marion) Schmock of Lake Park Fla., Mrs. Ruth Kinville of Frankfort (N.Y.) and Mrs. Harold (Ellen) Tatom of Shreveport, La.; 21 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Whiter--Hendrix Funeral Home, Wednesday, Jan. 15, with the Rev.Leon Oaks-Lee, officiating, and interment will be in the Armory Hill Cemetery, in the spring. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9p.m.Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, Ilion.

A typo occurs in the original obit. The marriage date says June. January is the correct month. Also, LO should be LA for Louisiana.

Ilion-- Bertha E. Fay, 76, of 401
Prindle Apts., Ilion, passed away
November 13 in Mohawk Valley
General Hospital.
She was born May 13, 1906 in
Ilion, and was the daughter of Daniel
and Cora Carroll Ferguson. she was
married to Frederick Fay January 18,
1928. She lived in Ilion most of her
life except for seven years in Burling-
ton Flats, and ten years in Mohawk.
She was a graduate of Ilion High School
and School of Commerce, and was a
bookkeeping clerk for the Remington
Arms and also for Prime Cleaners
of Ilion, retiring several years ago.
She was a member of the First Baptist
Church and served as a past Deaconess
of the church; also was a former
Treasurer of Burlington Flats Baptist
Church and a 50 year member of the
Evening Star Chapter # 82.
She is survived by her husband;
one son,Daniel of Lowville; five
daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Elizabeth) Hanson
of Conroe, Texas, Mrs. Harry (Joanna)
Rowell of RD 3 Frankfort, Mrs. Robert
(Marion) Schmock of Lake Park Fla.,
Mrs. Ruth Kinville of Ilion and Mrs.
Harold (Ellen) Tatom of Shreveport, La.;
two brothers, Harold Ferguson of Bloomville
and Lawerence Ferguson of Ilion; one
sister, Mrs. Gladys Craig of Downsville,
N.Y.; 21 grandchildren; nine great-grand
children; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held from Whiter-Hendrix
Funeral Home, 1 p.m. Tuesday. Interment
will be Armory Hill Cemetery. Calling hours
will be from 2:30-4:30 on Monday and 7-9
Monday evening. Memorials may be made
to the Bertha Fay Memorial Fund of the
Ilion Baptist Church.
