This example of the Gartman Coat of Arms is interesting, but by no means is meant to represent the Gartman/Girtman family today. It comes from Winfredus de Jardine of Scotland in the 12th century and represents the branch of the family that emigrated to Scotland and England during the Norman Invasion of 1066
