The Plaque on the front of the house reads "Kingsbury-Lord House 1660" and was placed there by the Ipswich Historical Society. This picture was taken in 1996. It is a beautiful structure and the current owners have been very meticulous in their restorations. It is doubtful that any of the current building is part of the original Henry Kingsbury homestead, but the ancient stonework of the original foundation can still be seen.
