From the Family Records of T. Gerene Kinney Lord: "Lillie M. Hodges and husband Claude B. Kinney were cousins. Claude's father (Thomas Kinney) and Lillie's grandmother (Sarah R. Kinney) were brother and sister and were the children of Fielding Thomas Kinney. However, Thomas' mother was Elizabeth Fuqua and Sarah's mother was Lucinda Kerr. I believe the land that Claude and Lillie lived on was the homeplace of William and Sarah R. Kinney, the grandparents of Lillie M. Hodges Kinney. Unfortunately, the land ownership cannot be traced because the Hart County courthouse burned and all records were lost."
