Notes for William Worden: William Worden was a sea captain before becoming the Harbour Master at Ashton on Ribble.
He recrived his Master (Ord) ticket on 24th March 1851 in Cork. During his career he visited many places around the World including, Quebec, Virginia, Hong Kong, Nassaw, Montreal, Jamaica, Madeira, Rio Grande, Antwerp. The records go from 1851 to 1869.

No 1 "Saved to the memory of Peggy the wife of James Cundy and daughter of William & Prudence Worden of Wadebridge who died on 1st September 1863 aged 42 years. Also in memory of Rebecca sister of the above who died in Cleveland, USA on 24th day of August 1872 aged 41 years."
No 2 "Sacred to the memory of John Worden the son of John & Priscilla Worden of Loner Amble in this parish who departed this life 25th July 1817 in the 18th year of his life"
No 3 "In loving memory of Mary Rowse wife of the late Richard Rowse of Trelawder St Minver and daughter of John & Jane Worden who died Dec 26th 1903 aged 83 years."
No 4 "In memory of John Worden of Chaple Amble in this parish. He died 23rd Feb 1875 aged 93 years. Also Jane wife of the above died November 19th 1871 aged 86. Cordelia Ann daughter of the above died Nov 19 1871 aged 28 years."
