* "The Laura Mae Bloom Family Home Page"*

Updated September 6, 2000

Laura Mae Bloom, born January 14, 1876 in Nanticoke, Pa., was a daughter of Sarah Boone Bloom who was a fourth cousin of the famous Daniel Boone. This small branch of the Boone tree is in the process of being completed; and, although the information is available from within the family, there are many eighth cousins of Daniel Boone that are missing from the Bloom line that we would like to find ( primarily the Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grand Children of Sarah Boone Bloom). We just located another cousin that we knew nothing about through a message on the internet - and - more important - we found a new friend. Laura Mae's sister Elizabeth had a very small family also; Elizabeth's daughter- in- law, Edna Long, is now 96 years old and lives with her daughter Wilma. It is Edna who keeps us all straight with the dates and facts of our research. Edna came into the family when she married Elizabeth's son Fred to whom she was introduced by her best friend, Laura Mae Schultz (Granddaughter of Laura Mae Bloom). Daniel Bloom, brother to Eliazbeth and Laura, had 5 children; two of them, May and Ruth also in their 90s, speak daily with Edna by phone and remain independent. We are hoping to visit the girls this summer. Additional information will be appreciated regarding relatives of the Boone and Bloom families born after 1900 . It should be noted for the record that the name Laura Mae is showing up incorrectly in some of the records as Laura (May) and should be corrected. We are interested in finding out about Aaron Bloom's family and the Laura Mae Bloom born in 1880 for whom we have no information.
