Samuel H KIRKPATRICK b:abt 1830,TN. He supposedly ran away when his father died. Later he married Catherine Smith,of Daviess Co. Mo, Dau of James SMITH, son of Isaac SMITH , of TN. There is not a clue as to who Samuels parents are. He later married Mary TAYLOR and he died in Fannin Co TX. Family lore, his father was killed by a wild animal, bear or boar, and he ran away from the authority of his older brothers. Micheal ELLIOTT married Mary FINE abt 1785. They raised their family in the Clinch MT area of Virginia. I have son James Peter's, son James Patton's son Johnathan Walker who married Martha Hill of Russell Co, Va, in Johnson Co Kentucky. John CRAIG is part Cherokee Indian, possibly a trader with Scottish background. He supposedly had land in the Red Clay,TN area and killed while being removed.His wife was also Cherokee and died during the Indian removal, according to family lore).His children lived in ARK but were denied acceptance in the tribe for various reasons. He had a son ,James CRAIG who married America SPEARS also Indian, according to sworn affidavits)in the NARA. Young Love, b:29FEB1788 in Ireland, d: 20 May 1845 buried in Knox Co. Ohio. He was in the Knox County area before 1814 when he married Ann DUDGEON who was from Donegal Ireland. Young obtained his naturalization 8 OCT 1838 in Knox Co. It was stated he was from UK. Their son William LOVE had a son WIlliam Henry Love. William H had a son Ralph Dell LOVE who is my grandafather. Wm H. left Ohio and homesteaded in Kansas before making the 1st Oklahoma territory land run and he settled in Watonga, Blaine , OK. Jurg Hans SICKLER (George John)is found in Dutchess Co NY. My information is his will recorded in Pougkeepsie. There is a scribbled family tree that dated back to abt 1896 that gave information on most of the family. George had a son Jacob, b 14 OCT 1774, died in Falls,Wyoming, PA. His son William went to Atchison Co MO area. It was Holt Co at that time. He built the first mill and contributed much to the area. His son William Merritt went to Oklahoma and his son Newton is my grandfather.
