My full name is Ivor Osborne Kirk, I was born in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, UK. I am retired and now live in Saffron Walden, Essex. My father originated from North Norfolk and his ancestors have been traced back in North Norfolk to the 1700s. He left Norfolk in the first World War. My mother as a young girl moved to Aylesbury from Lancashire sometime between 1903 to 1910 with her family. Her father was born in Bradford, Yorkshire. My father met my mother, née Harrison, in Aylesbury and they were married there in 1925. They lived in that area for the rest of their lives. |
