I have been researching my Family History for the last 3-4 years and been quite successful on my Mother's side of the family particular her mothers (my grandmother) who were the Kelvies. Coincidently when my family moved into Kent we discovered that a lot of the Kelvies all lived within 3 miles or so of where we live now.
I have not been so successful on my fathers side of the family, the Kirklands, whose relatives lived in Saltcoats, Ayrshire, Scotland. It would be great to get some help in trying to trace my ancestors on that side.
My wifes family were all from Bermondsey in South London and we have traced them back a fair way.
My research continues and I am about to embark on looking at local Parish Records.
