| I am researching the Tilley family from Durham County (previously Orange County), North Carolina. My grandfather was Arthur Kermit Tilley, first son of Floyd Tilley and Rosa Watson, born February 24, 1907, died December 13, 1997. He married Frances Egda Woods, born March 11, 1908, died November 22, 1985, only child of John B. Woods and Ola V. Holloway. Floyd's father, Robert C. Tilley, also known as Pegleg Bob, born August 1844, died - unknown, served in the Civil War. He married Rebecca Riggs,born April 1851, daughter of Paul and Elizabeth Riggs, about 1867. In addition, I'm researching the Woods, Holloway, and Watson families, also from Durham or Orange Counties. |
