I am researching the Fosters, Strange, and McCawleys of Kentucky and surrounding states. The Fosters are generally located in Jefferson and Bullitt counties. I do have the Fosters back to the 1300s, they come from England. they went from Eng.to Va>Ky( all parts)>then Indiana and beoynd. I am always willing to share info on any of my surnames and dates.records.
The Stranges are located in Woodford county Kentucky. I have a David Crenshaw Strange who was born in Nonesuch and moved to Versalles and married a Georgie Belle Lewis together they had 5 children. Later she passed on and he remarried to a Minnie Belle Sebree. Agian together they had 5 children. Dates for these are 1800-present.
The McCawleys are another story. I have little to none info on this side of the family. My GG-Aunt was a McCawley, Elizabeth Frances. She had 2 sisters and 1 brother,Leonia Verne, Sally Lee and John Edward (Little John). Elizabeth never married, Leonia married a Strange, Sally married a Gibson. Little John died at the age of 6 years. Dates on this is 1800- present.
I will be working on this page and will have more info on it. If anyone has a question PLEASE E-Mail me. I am willing to share input with anyone.:o)
