The Kirk family came from Ireland to Canada and then came to the United States. They moved around some much that finding information has been very Hard. I hope to put as much on to this web page for others that are looking for Our family. Our family starts with Henry Kirk born in Ireland to Edward and Anne (Clarke) Kirk. Edward and his brother Henry came to Canada with their families. Edward's son Henry my ggggrandfather married Julia Elizabeth Knudson. Julia was born in England and her parent were born in Norway. Henry and Julia had seven children: Bernhard (Ben), William, Allen Walter, Samuel, Elizabeth Anne (she died young) and John. I believe by 1899 when Julia died, the children went to live with her family members. Henry went to live in a Home for Uncurables. He had a disease similar to Parkinson's. Henry died a few years later in 1903. I do know Allen and Samuel went to live with Julia's sister and brother-in-law Dorothy and James Flannery. I have 1901 and 1911 census records. Allen moved to the United States in early manhood. He married Alice Pulham and from this union two children where born: Edith and Allan Richard. He then married Alice's sister Hazel Pulham and from this union six children. This is a good start from knowing nothing...
