* Decendants of William Kirkpatrick*

Updated September 5, 2000

Welcome! This site is dedicated to the decendants of William Kirkpatrick who left Scotland for Ireland and ended up in Virginia by 1755.
While I have no proof it has been suggested that William fought against the English during the Jacobite rebellion of 1745. With england's victory and harsh retribution for the rebels, Willam may have fled Scotland for Ireland and later moved to America.
Perhaps this explains why all three of William's sons -- Robert, Andrew, and William (Jr) -- all fought the english in the American Revolution. Robert was killed at the battle of Brandywine.
Andrew and William (Jr) survived the war and raised families.
This website records the decendants of those two families.
Please feel free to contact me with questions, corrections, and constructive criticism.
