* "The Kizer's Of Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas,& West Virginia"*

Updated September 6, 2000

Hello to all!! This Line of Kizers started out as far as I know in Eastern West Virginia, Hardy, Grant, Hampshire Counties,...when it was all Virginia. My Gr-Gr-Grandfather Abraham Kizer was in the 7th West Virginia and then moved to Ohio after the war. He married Mahala (Liller) Gannon and had 6 children with her. He was married before but I do not know what her name was. He had 6 children with his first wife. They, with some Gannon's and Lillers went to Ohio and from their the Kizers went to Kansas. Some of Abraham's first children from his first marriage went to Oklahoma and I just recently got in touch with them. The children from the first marriage are Fred, Joe,& Annie and I am sorry to say that I don't know the rest. Fred had a son named Cleve. I know that Fred and Joe both lived in Oklahoma , Joe in Yale, Oklahoma. The marriage to Mahala, children include Sarah Tennesse Kizer Inwood, Nevada,MO, William Decumsah Kizer Nevada,MO,David E Kizer, Thomas Jerome Kizer,AR,& Minnie May Kizer Sparks Wood Butner,MO. I really know nothing about the Gannon side but am in touch with the Lillers.
I also know that the last name is spelled KiSer in the Civil War documents and that is the same for Fred's military records.
Any information would be Great and will be glad to share what I know!!! Thanks!!
