THIS BRANCH OF THE KIZER FAMILY ORIGINALLY CAME TO THE UNITED STATES IN 1729 WHEN VALENTINE KISER CAME TO PHILADELPHIA. THE KIZERS MIGRATED FIRST TO VIRGINIA, THEN TO TENNESSEE, THEN TO MISSOURI AND THEN IN THE 1840`S MIGRATED TO ARKANSAS. THREE COUSINS OF WILLIAM McCORD KIZER, WILLIAM, DANIEL, AND ENOCH KIZER MOVED THEIR FAMILIES TO HUNT COUNTY, TEXAS IN THE EARLY 1840`S WHERE THE RESIDED AND RAISED THEIR FAMILIES. WILLLIAM McCORD KIZER REMAINED IN ARKANSAS WHERE THIS BRANCH OF KIZERS REMAINED UNTILL THE LATE 1930`S AND EARLY 1940`S WHEN SOME OF THIS BRANCH MOVED TO WEST TEXAS (LUBBOCK AREA) AND SEVERAL OF THIS BRANCH MOVED TO CALIFORNIA. THE ARKANSAS AND CALIFORNIA KIZERS TRY TO HAVE A FAMILY RENUION IN THE OZARK, ARKANSAS AREA ABOUT EVERY FEW YEARS.
