| I am reseaching the TILLMAN family of Freedom, Wisconsin. Johannes Tillman (Tilleman) came to the U.S. from Rotterdam, Netherland in 1848 to Boston, Ma.. He was born abt. 1840 in Gemert, Province of Noord Brabant,Netherlands. Married Antoinette SERMONS(SEAMANS).Children were; Joannes(Annie),Mary, Christine,Peter,&Catherine(Katy). Johannes died in 1882 and was buried at St. Nicholas Church in Freedom, Wisc.. The children were placed in St. Joseph's Orphanage in 1886 at Green Bay, Wisc.. In 1887, Father John VERSTEGEN (Catholic Priest & Uncle) took the children to a person by the name Mrs. GARVEY in Freedom, Wisc. I am looking for information as to what happened to Antoinette after 1882. Also looking for information on the O'SHEA family. Beatrice O'SHEA, born 1892 in Waterford, Ireland to Richard O'Shea & Beatrice DRUMMEY(IE). Beatrice O'Shea came to U.S. in 1912 possiby aboard the "Titanic". She married my grandfather, Peter Tillman in 1915 and had two children before her marriage to him. I am also looking for info on the BYNG/BING & PLUMET family of South Carolina, specifically Beaufort(now Jasper Co.)& Charleston areas. Earliest date is 1836 Robertsville, S.C. Mathew BING and his wife Caroline ?. Son Julius moved to Charleston abt. 1855 and married Rebecca C. PLUMET daughter of Anthony Plumet and Elizabeth ?. Surnames I am researching BAILEY,BATCHELDER,BING/BYNG,CASWELL,CHRISTIANSON, COATES,DRAKE,DRUMMIE(Y),GRAHAM,HALL,HANAFORD, HERMAN,JAPS,KLING,MAAS,MITCHELL,MYHR,NICKOLS O'SHEA,PLUMET,ROSE,SHENAN,SYKES,TILLEMANS,TILLMAN Areas of research include; WASHINGTON,MONTANA, NORTH DAKOTA,MINNESOTA,MICHIGAN,SOUTH CAROLINA, IRELAND,SCOTLAND,NETHERLANDS,NORWAY,FRANCE, ENGLAND,RUSSIA,& GERMANY Any information would be greatly appreciated. I am willing to share any information I have. |
