The surnames we are interested in researching are: Braaten from Norway, ND and MN, Johnson from Norway, Opperman, Peterson and Grefsheim. We have had a lot of problems due to name changes while immigrating to the US around 1884. We have a Petra Johnson and her brother was Christian Peterson. We think their father was John Peterson, possibly even Peter Johnson. Any help would be great and of course, we'll be glad to share what we have.
